I've been a regular at Kodiak Adventures Lodge for over a decade, but this last trip was the greatest of them all. Led by Captain Larry Carroll's expert guiding, we caught trophy halibut, yelloweye and King Salmon. The hospitality given by Larry and Shelly at the lodge is top notch. We had excellent meals, wonderful sleep, and great conversation. Kudos to new deck hand Luke, who was quick to assist and always smiling. We also saw an Orca up close and a Kodiak bear and her two cubs. What a great trip!

Second time booking a hunt with Larry and Shelly and again was impressed with their operation. Scenery is beautiful and lodge is comfortable and spotless. A well run operation. Due to some weather complications, we had issues getting from Anchorage to Kodiak and missed our scheduled float planes. Larry was great at communicating with us and was able to work with us and the float plane company to reschedule and get us to the lodge ASAP. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend booking with Kodiak Adventures Lodge. Great people to spend time with.

Just back from a 5 night 4 day fishing trip at Kodiak Adventures Lodge, the lodge is remote, no other lodges in the bay; the only other boat we saw during our stay was a commercial crab vessel. Kiliuda bay views are spectacular, stunning & breathtakingly beautiful; saw a few brown bears, eagles, deer and a gray whale. We were fishing each morning within a 10 minute boat ride from the lodge. Larry has been fishing the bay for 17 years, he knows where the fish are and how to catch them. This trip I watched my 100 pound wife take 1 hour to land a 47 pound King salmon, awesome experience. Shelly cooks a good breakfast/dinner, packs a nice lunch (with treats). My wife and I are repeat customers, this was our 6th trip to the lodge. We have been to other lodges, used other guide services, but keep coming back here. We like the isolation, the quiet, the view and that Larry and Shelly are wonderful and caring people.

I am a repeat customer at the lodge, I've been there 13 times over the last 16 years - Bear hunting, deer hunting, and fishing trips (6 hunts and 7 fishing) and always have a great time. We have our next trip already planned for November. My wife and I love coming here, we've brought down many friends and family members and their reactions are always the same, it's gorgeous. Larry and Shelly run a solid operation, the food is great, the accommodations are perfect for a remote location, far exceeding expectations - you come back to a warm fire in your room every evening - hard to beat that. Give them a try and enjoy this slice of Kodiak paradise.

Absolutely loved the tranquil surroundings and being able to disconnect for awhile. Kodiak Adventures Lodge truly sits on one of the most beautiful areas in Alaska. Larry & Shelly made this an unforgettable trip for me. I so loved Shelly's cooking and her never ending smiles. Fishing brought me my first ocean-going King with Larry making sure the boat was going in the right direction and I was doing all the right things to bring that fish in. Lastly, we had the opportunity to view quite a bit of the wildlife from whales to deer, and mountain goats to seals.

Truly memorable experience! What an awesome adventure. Ive worked in and amongst a lot of lodges in my life and Larry and Shelly have it absolutely dialed in. Hospitality was above and beyond. They both do everything they can to make your trip as comfortable and enjoyable as they can. This trip is by far one of the best experiences I have ever had. If I could come back every year I certainly would. For anyone looking for a scenic, peaceful, successful Alaskan experience, this is the place for you!

We couldnt have been happier with Larry, Shelly and Zack. Unfortunately due to foggy weather we lost a day and only had 2.5 days of fishing. Larry could tell the 4 of us were there to catch some fish. He quickly went through an introduction to the lodge and any policies and paper work that needed reviewed. Then we were right out of the boat. The weather wasn’t ideal but he had us geared up so we didn’t mind. He gave us an extra hour of fishing secondary to the float plane not being able to fly the previous day. And that was the difference, at the last minute my uncle hooked onto a huge halibut. Fought 40 minutes and pulled in a season record 130 pounder. Larry even had a hat pin “100 pound club” he gave my Uncle which meant a lot. After that the fish came flying in. We caught halibut, cod, salmon and rock fish. All 4 of us had the trip of a life time and came home with lots of fish, that was well packaged and labled. Shelly’s kindness and skills in the kitchen are unmatched! And Zack was there every time you needed him on the boat. Helping all 4 of us rig up and keep our lines in the water as much as possible. Eventually the weather cleared up and we got to see all the beauty of Kiliuda Bay. Thanks for everything Larry and Shelly!

Went through Kodiak adventures for a Blacktail hunt, and duck hunt. My dad and I ended up getting our harlequin and our barrows golden eye, no deer, but the weather wasn’t cooperating with us. Still had an amazing time. Great place, great food, and Larry and Shelly are amazing people. I HIGHLY suggest their lodge.
